The Oura ring was my favorite -Smart ring because his app was easy to understand and I liked some of the newer functions from his latest software update. For the steep price of $ 299, this intelligent ring consists of titanium degrees from aerospace quality-one of the strongest materials in the earth. Before I received my Oura ring, a Ring Sizer was sent to me to find out my ring size. Other intelligent rings have done the same thing because the size varies depending on the brand.
After I received the Oura ring, I downloaded the Oura app (available for iOS and Android). The user interface of the app shows you yours Latest sleep dataYour willingness (or how charged you are), heart rate, cycle knowledge if you have menstruation and stress level. There is also a timeline when you went to bed, woke up and have carried out physical activity in the last 24 hours. Oura uses points of 100 to determine where you are among the different categories that you look at daily.
You can also see the battery life of your ring on a circular symbol in the upper right corner. The ring can be easily rechargeable with its own ring holder, which you can keep on your bedside table. Overall, you can expect to recharge this ring again about every three days.
In order to obtain the most precise knowledge and recommendations from the smart ring, you are recommended to wear it for at least a month so that data can be collected for your habits. To get more out of the ring, you have to register for the Youra membership that costs 6 US dollars a month. As I already mentioned, it was one of my goals to improve my sleep or at least get a sleep schedule that could work even if a baby interrupts my peace through the night. I preferred to carry an intelligent ring over a smartwatch to follow it because I hardly feel.
The Oura ring found that my ideal bedtime window was in bed between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The ring knew that I generally wake up around 6 a.m., so it should help me to get 8 hours of sleep. I followed the recommendations of the ring for at least the first few months, but then I was on the move and the holidays, so I experienced additional stress. I could see that I felt tired and less energetic on the days when I had suggested later than the time presented by Oura. There would also be a lower standby evaluation on the days that my sleep could see and stressful levels were affected.
After I had moved, I was able to return to my recommended sleep. I never felt better rested. During a briefing with oura I was told that the brand never wants to lead to users feel guilty because they do not restore or sleep enough. Instead, the brand wants to know what you can do to improve these factors. For example, if the Oura has additional loads, you can tell you that you should take it easy for this day.
An interesting feature of the Oura ring that takes off from other wearables is that it can recognize signs of illness. So far I haven’t been sick since the use of oura, but other CNE employees have said When they were under the weather. Oura recently launched the Oura Ring 4, and together with the software, the software was updated to have other functions with AI in order to identify further information about your habits.
Although I personally did not fan of the fitness recording option in one of the intelligent rings that I tested, I liked it with his latest update. The Oura can recognize if you are active. For example, if you do or go homework, it records the time frame for which you perform this activity and count for your activity value. You can confirm it via the app or change it to the correct form of activity. I think this is the key to finally create better fitness tracking function. If you are familiar with wearables to pursue your workouts, you know that it is sometimes easy to forget to meet the recording before training. I like that the Oura ring recognizes that formal training is not the only activity that is considered a movement and that its everyday behavior, such as cleaning your house or taking the dog for a walk, plays a role.
With the new update, I can also see my cardiovascular age, which appreciates in relation to your age. Apparently my cardiovascular system is 8 years younger than my age, so it is good to know that my healthy habits worked. If you really want to choose in your cardiovascular capacity, you can carry out a hiking test that Oura offers. Oura can tell you too Your chronotype Based on their natural circadian rhythms and determines whether they are a morning or at night. I am not surprised that it discovered me as a morning person because I always get up early.
Another important feature that I find important is stress. Oura can follow her stress levels during the day and recognize when they are stressed, committed, relaxed or restored. This data indicates you whether you have to concentrate on your restoration based on your stress levels. I had several days (mainly movable days!) When the Oura ring was more stressed than usual compared to other days.
I appreciated the holistic approach of our holistic approach in the entire health data as a whole instead of fixing it on a function that most wearables do. Oura has a Youra consultant who is based on personalized advice that is based on your data to improve her lifestyle. If you want to men and pursue your cycle, the Oura follows this information. It also delivers a period forecast if you may expect your next period. So far, this has been precise for me – even with some missed periods. If you are pregnant, it also offers knowledge of pregnancy.
If you have an iPhone, you can allow the Oura to pass data on with other app integrations such as Apple Health, Strava, Wild Ai, Cronometer, Noom, Null, Headspace, Natural Cycles, Note and Flo app. This is another area in which I think Oura has the opportunity to expand its integrations. It is known that new parents are usually the most determined with sleep and are out there with all the different with Wi-Fi-powered baby babs to reach. It can give the parents their own unique data and advice if the Oura can find that their sleep has been interrupted by a crying child.
You don’t want to cope with the ring too roughly. Since the exterior is shiny, it is easy to scratch or branch. As I mentioned, I was not a fan of fitness tracking aspect on one of the intelligent rings, and this was part of the reason. It would be good for the rings to have a protective cover if someone wants to wear it while lifting weights. I had to remove the ring when I trained because I didn’t want to scratch the ring, and it wasn’t comfortable to wear when I held a dumbbell.
My other problem with fitness tracking is that the Oura is only able to recognize cardiobasized activities. You can log on when you run, cycle or walk in real time, but with other forms of activities, you have to log off. This defeats the purpose of having a fitness tracking option, but I also confirm that this is not the main premise of the smart ring.
If you want an overview of your health data, Oura generally does a great job to easily read and follow you. It is clear to me that it is not the cheapest portable at 300 US dollars (plus the monthly 6 dollar membership), but depending on the insights you want to have in your health, it may be worth it.
