I’ve been working out up to two hours a day lately, mostly riding, but also strength training and my PT for my back and hips. My body seems to tolerate it well and it feels good.
One of the memorable rides was last Tuesday when I drove with my group to the end of Redwood Retreat Road and back, as advertised Here on Strava. Then on Sunday I did a hard workout consisting of upper body strength training and weight training, followed by a brisk ride along the Coyote Creek Trail to Bernal Road and switching to the Monterey Highway on the way back. I also did some hard intervals. It felt great at the time, but I was pretty tired afterwards, so I took it easy yesterday.
I’m going to visit my brother in Phoenix in a few weeks and would like to rent a bike while I’m down there to explore some of the canal trails. This will be an upright stand. Since I normally ride a recumbent bike and haven’t done as many miles on the stationary bike lately, my butt isn’t under as much strain as it needs to be, so I’ll be putting in more miles on the stationary bike like I did in preparation on the trips from last Tuesday, Friday and yesterday.
