Houthis, supported by Iran, said on Saturday that an Israeli air raid killed the prime minister of the rebel -controlled government in the Yemeni capital Sanaa. He was the most high-ranking Houthi official who was killed in the Israeli-US campaign against the rebels supported by Iranians.
Ahmed al-Rahawi, who was appointed role in August 2024, died together with a number of ministers on Thursday, the rebel group announced in a statement. Other ministers and civil servants were wounded, added the explanation without providing any further details.

Al-Rahawi came from the southern province of Abyan and an ally to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
