Hospitals in Beirut are overwhelmed, survivors report scenes of carnage

A day after fierce Israeli attacks on the Lebanese capital, survivors reported scenes of carnage on Thursday as hospitals struggled to cope with the flood of victims. Wednesday was the deadliest day in Lebanon in more than five weeks of renewed war between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
