When you imagine making Christmas treats, you probably imagine 5-pound bags of flour and sugar, a kitchen sink full of mixing bowls, and a buttered apron. It’s an activity that can take hours and means you have to try at least one of each batch of cookies when it comes out of the oven.
But that’s not the only way to make a seasonal sweet treat. This chocolate chip cookie dough is ready in minutes and creates minimal mess. There is no need to heat the oven.
And best of all: it’s full of protein. Cottage cheese is your superpower when it comes to enjoying a protein-packed dessert. While some prefer it plain, its popularity comes from its versatility.
You can use cottage cheese in a wide variety of recipes. (Trust us, We’ve written some of them!) And that includes lots of desserts, but this delicious, protein-packed cookie dough might be our favorite.

Cottage cheese cookie dough
For 4 people
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- ⅔ cup almond flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup chocolate chips
Directions:
- In a food processor, combine cottage cheese, maple syrup, protein powder, almond flour and vanilla extract.
- Process until smooth.
- Remove the mixture from the food processor and place it in a bowl.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and enjoy!
