Grimes claimed she was the one who got out of her failed relationship with her Elon Musk.
The singer (real name Claire Elise Boucher) made the comments in response to a Tweet addressed to her from Azealia Banks Posted via X on Thursday December 26th.
Reference to a feud between the couple making headlines in 2018 and re-sharing a meme that depicted Banks and Grimes as antagonistic characters in the film EvilBanks slams Grimes.
Banks accused Grimes, 36, of not letting go of their alleged feud and “still trying to make me look like the bad guy and act like you’re above me.”

“Girl, how years later, after being dumped and cheated on, you’re still trying to push through some weird, innocent bullshit,” Banks, 33, wrote.
Banks went on to describe Grimes as a “white woman’s delusion,” adding, “Get over yourself.”
“You can really stop mentioning me. I know you wish you could be my best friend, but damn… it’s boring as hell. Let it go,” she continued.

Grimes defended himself in response, writing, “It’s just a funny joke bro. I’m not trying to portray you as a villain.”
The musician also dismissed comments that she was “dumped” by Musk, 53, claiming it was the other way around.
“I wasn’t ‘dumped’. I jumped off. My beautiful baby is sleeping next to me in my bed, I’m in love. no regrets. Life is as beautiful as you want it to be,” Grimes wrote.
She continued: “You are insanely talented. Even after all this, I still want you to win. God bless Mlady.”
It was Grimes and Musk together for four years before their split in 2022 and have since experienced one messy custody battle about their three children, son X Æ A-Xii, 4, daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and son Techno Mechanicus, 2.

Grimes confirmed she had separated from Musk via a post on X that referenced a Vanity Fair article about their relationship that had recently been published at the time.
“Me and E have broken up *again* since I wrote this article haha, but he is my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are now forever dedicated to the mission,” she wrote in March on X 2022. “I think Devin wrote that part of the story really well. Sique – peace out.”
In addition to the Children he shares with GrimesMusk is also the father of six other children from other relationships.
