Rabat – Morocco’s Ministry of Equipment and Water has published an urgent weather warning in front of massive waves in order to beat the coasts of the country from Monday afternoon.
It is expected that the mighty swells, which come from west to northwest, reach between 4 and 6.5 meters.
According to the official declaration of the ministry, the most difficult wave activity is concentrated in two main regions. These are located between Tanger Med Port and Cape Spartel and along the Atlantic coast, which extends from Cape Spartel (Tangier) to Cape Hadid (Esaouira).
In these areas, the top wave intensity will experience from Monday evening to Tuesday morning.
The ministry also warned that strong southwestern winds will accompany this high lake along the Atlantic coast between Cape Spartel (Tangier) and Essaouira from Monday morning before stretching into the street region by Monday evening.

Officials expressed special concerns about the flood periods on Monday and Tuesday, which will take place between 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and again between 4:50 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In these windows, the water level is expected to increase between 3.20 and 3.80 meters, which is potentially tightened in combination with the massive waves.
The weather conditions are expected to be improved on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Ministry, and added that additional details are presented in upcoming weather warning bulletins.
