General Hospital star Steve Burton and girlfriend Michelle Lundstrom are engaged.
“Engaged 01/03/25. ❤️💍♾️,” Burton, 54, captioned Instagram on Saturday, January 4, along with a slideshow of the couple’s sweet photos from their engagement. A snap captured the moment Burton got down on one knee and popped the question.
Burton’s caption continued: “Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Well-wishers flocked to the comments section to congratulate the happy couple, including Burton’s General Hospital Co-stars.

“Steve and Michelle, I wish you both a long, loving and fruitful life together! Congratulations!” Costar wrote Rick Hearstwhile co-actors Finola Hughes gushed: “Congratulations! I wish you both good luck for the future, you are a wonderful couple! Congratulations, Michelle!”
Burton was previously married to Sheree Gustin from 1999 to 2022, with whom he shares three children: daughters Makena and Brooklyn and son Jack.
Burton’s last marriage made headlines in May 2022 when it was announced that he and Gustin, 46, had separated after 23 years of marriage and she was expecting a baby with another man. (The couple had legally separated in March of that year.)
“I wanted to clarify something. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she is expecting her fourth child. “The child is not mine,” it says General Hospital star wrote online at the time. “We are still raising our three wonderful children together. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Lots of love, Steve.”

Gustin welcomed her fourth child, daughter Izabella, in February 2023, and the father’s identity has been kept secret. (She gave birth to baby #5, Daughter Addyin February 2024.)
As for Burton, the soap opera star confirmed his and Lundstrom’s relationship for the Daily drama in May 2024, but it wasn’t until the following months that the couple celebrated their breakthrough Red carpet debut at the Daytime Emmy Awards last June.
“Our first red carpet together. “It was a dream night from start to finish,” Lundstrom wrote via Instagram in June as she wrapped up the evening with her partner. “Thank you for all the lovely, kind comments and messages. I’m really grateful ❤️🙏🏼.”
Back then it was Burton’s General Hospital Costar Kirsten Storms wrote in the comments: “You guys are so cute together, this photo is almost hard to look at. 🥰 ❤️.”
