Rabat – Jassim Al Budaiwi, General Secretary of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has renewed the Council company and unshakable support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Morocco towards its southern provinces in the southern provinces Western Sahara.
Al Budaiwi gave his comments in a speech at the joint ministerial meeting between the GCC countries and Morocco.
Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita represented Morocco during the meeting in which the council repeated its position in favor of territorial integrity Morocco.
GCC too expressed Support for the non-managed political process in Western Sahara, which welcomes the UN Security Council the resolution 2756 adopted in October.
The resolution extended the mandate of the UN peacekeeping operation Minurso to one year until October 2025 and asked the Algerian regime to participate in the political process that is recognized by UN-led to seek a mutually recognized political solution as the main party.
The resolution also emphasized the importance of the earlier roundtable discussions on the initiative of the former UN -Personal envoy for Western Sahara Horst Kohler and the efforts welcomed Morocco, including the confirmed autonomy plan as a serious and credible political solution to end the dispute over the western Sahara.
Apart from the support of GCC for the territorial integrity of Morocco, the Council also welcomed the initiatives of Morocco, including the Atlantic Initiative, to facilitate access for Saheländer to the Atlantic.
Other initiatives that are the Council of the Council of Atlantic African State and the Nigeria Morocco Gas Pipeline project, with GCC praising reforms in various sectors and areas, including the economy.
The leadership of Morocco in various sectors enabled the country to establish themselves as a key partner for many countries in the international community, including the golf region.
Morocco holds strong relationships with various golf areas, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
Several countries from the council invest in the North African kingdom at various levels, including real estate, infrastructure and healthcare.
