Morocco international Hakim Ziyech expressed his dissatisfaction and regret over moving to Turkish club Galatasaray and openly declared his intention to leave the club during the upcoming winter transfer window.
In a reported conversation with Spor Gecesi Digital, Ziyech explained his inconsistent performances at the club, remarking: “Galatasaray is over for me. I’m not happy and don’t want to play. I told everyone I was leaving in January.”
Regarding his absence from team activities and an uncoordinated trip to the Netherlands, Ziyech added: “They don’t ask me anything anymore; I do what I want,” suggesting a complete breakdown in communication between him and the club.
When asked for his opinion on head coach Okan Buruk, Ziyech didn’t hold back and said, “I’ve never seen a coach as bad as Okan,” further highlighting the tense relationship between the two, which was a key factor in his decision his decision seems to go.
The Atlas Lion also seemed indifferent to the team’s fate when asked if he thought Galatasaray could win the league this season.
“I don’t care, just leave me alone. Whatever happens, happens. I already regret coming here. I would have left at the beginning of the season but they wouldn’t let me. I will leave in January,” said the Moroccan winger.
