Morocco will host the opening women of the Futsal African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2025. The draw will take place next Thursday at the CAF headquarters of the Confederation of African football headquarters (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt.
The AFCON runs from April 22nd to 30th in Morocco, whereby nine nations raise the trophy: Morocco, Angola, Cameroon, Egypt, Guinea, Madagascar, Namibia, Senegal and Tanzania.
FRMF created this team in 2021 and has made great progress so far. Adil Sayeh has trained the national team since last year. Since then they have been confronted with harder opponents like Thailand and took part in the Futsal Week June Cup in Croatia, where they took fifth place after a breathtaking victory over Greenland.
The 2025 tournament will not only serve Africa Kronen’s Top Futsal team, but also as a qualification for the FIFA -Futsal -Welmen -World Championship in the Philippines.
