France’s first former head of state, Sarkozy, was ordered to wear an electronic badge after losing an appeal against corruption




France’s highest court on Wednesday upheld former President Nicolas Sarkozy’s corruption conviction and ordered him to wear an electronic tag for a year. Sarkozy, who has denied any wrongdoing, faces additional legal battles, including an upcoming trial over alleged illegal Libyan financing of his 2007 presidential campaign.
