France passes delayed 2026 budget, ending months of parliamentary deadlock




French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has survived the latest in a series of no-confidence votes, allowing the full 2026 budget to be passed. The centrist prime minister pushed the bill through parliament without a vote after securing the support of the Socialist Party in exchange for some costly concessions.
