Several Hall of Famers and NFL sizes have been appointed Super Bowl MVP over the years. Patrick Mahomes was the MVP every super bowl he won. In the meantime, Tom Brady has won five Super Bowl MVP Awards.
At the same time, some less well -known people were surprised and had the best game of their lives in the Super Bowl. The former Line backer from Seattle Seahawks Malcolm Smith, who never made one Pro Bowl and played for six different teams, was appointed MVP of Super Bowl XLVIII after taking a pick-six, a fumble recovery and ten duels. The defensive Back Dexter Jackson, who never earned all-pro- or Pro Bowl honors, is another player who was appointed Super Bowl MVP, even though he had no outstanding career outside the big game.
Everything can happen in the Super Bowl. While Mahomes and Saquon Barkley could be the most valuable player in the game, there are some people in both cadres who can be stunned and MVP.
Here are four Dark Horse candidates who can win Super Bowl LIX MVP ceremonies.
Also Dallas Goedert. eagle
It’s no secret that I was high Dallas grabs Since Philly beat his admission ticket for Super Bowl Lix. He is fifth in the playoffs in reception of yards (188) and second in the (15). These are his numbers among all post-season pass color. If he only looks at narrow ends, he is second in recent, second in the first downs and first in the reception of shipyards.
Goedert had a regular season, but that is because he missed time due to an injury. Although he only played in ten regular season, he managed to make 42 catches for 496 reception sheets and two touchdowns, which corresponds to 49.6 yards per game. That doesn’t sound much, but this season is among all tight ends in the NFL. What is even crazy is that the other five tight ends that had an average of more meters per game than he was all called in the Pro Bowl.
Although Kansas City did a good job to contain the narrow goals of the Buffalo Bills, this was not the case when they played the Houston Texans. The tight ends of Houston were only targeted five times in the division round, but they caught all five passes for 65 reception furniture. No disrespect for Dalton Schultz and Irv Smith Jr., but I think Dallas Goedert is a much more serious threat than one of these people.
With two weeks of preparation and chief defense, which enable 20.5% of all yards to go up to tight ends, I think that Dallas Goedert could be a large part of Philly’s offensive if you win this Sunday.
Kareem Hunt, RB. Chief
The rookie Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy was my other choice for the offensive MVP -Dark Horse of Chiefs, but I don’t think someone would be so shocked if the most valuable player in the game is mentioned. He receives KC in recent season and gets second place if he only gets Travis Kelce behind the meter.
When you consider how average it was in this post -season, I think that Kareem Hunt would be a much more surprising MVP winner.
In his eighth year as a professional, the NFL Rushing Yards leader in 2017 was signed in the chiefs’ exercise cadres after ISIAH Pacheco broke his fibula in week. Although Pacheco returned to the campaign in week 13, he has not looked the same since then, an average of only 29.3 rushing yards per game in his last seven starts.
The Bell-Cow-Back for Kansas City fought with Pacheco. He achieved an average of 54 yards and one touchdown per game in the playoffs. Remember that he has classified these figures against the Texans (first against the run in the playoffs) and the Bills (against the run in the playoffs in second place).
Since the Eagles hand in 4.5 yards per rushing attempt, I was able to have Kareem Hunt this weekend for more than 90 yards and two rushing touchdowns. If Patrick Mahomes is kept on less than 220 yards and only a touchdown, Hunt’s performance should be good enough to receive MVP honors.
Reed Blankenship, db. eagle
The defense of the Eagles is absolutely stacked. The defensive Lineman Jalen Carter has become one of the most dominant players in the league with astonishing 20 printing in the playoffs. Linebacker Zack Baun, like a candidate of the defensive player of the year, played a fiddling with a total of 26 tackles, a forced fum.
I could see one of these boys who may have been referred to as MVP by Super Bowl Lix. However, the defensive back reed blankship could come out of nowhere and be appointed the most valuable player in the game.
Blankship has a total of 24 duels in the post -season, the fourth most common among all players and the second largest safety size. According to Pro Football Focus, he also has it only seven receptions allowed In the playoffs the third-night 49 post-season safety precautions. To round off things, he forced a fumbling against the Green Bay Packers and made a crucial fumbling in the NFC championship game.
His statistics were great and has to replicate this type of performance in the Super Bowl if he wants to win MVP.
I fully expect him to collect several duels. After all, he achieved an average of eight duels per game in the playoffs. Unfortunately, it is not enough to do a lot of duels to win over Super Bowl MVP. Blankenship must cause at least one turnover (either a forced fumbling, a fiddling recovery or interception) and absorb at least half a sack if he wants to be appointed the most valuable player in the game.
Nick Bolton, Lb. Chief
The defensive Lineman Chirs Jones has been the best defender of Kansas City for several years. He was appointed all-pro name six times and at the same time collected per bowl honors. He gets a lot of recognition and attention for the success of the chiefs, and rightly so! But Linebacker Nick Bolton was an undisclosed hero for KC.
Bolton recorded a total of 112 duels as a rookie. Then, in 2022-als the chiefs this run of three consecutive super Bowl appearances-he started his tackle performance in the regular season to 180 (second most frequent in the NFL). Although he missed several games in 2023, he led all players all players in the last post -season with 40.
Bolton could not lead the chiefs in the tackles this post, but he played 135 defensive snapshots, what that is Seventh overall snaps Under 53 line backers in the playoffs according to PFF. The fact that he plays so much makes him a main candidate to be MVP.
He has to fulfill after the quarterback if he wants to be the most valuable player of Super Bowl Lix. Fortunately, he showed the ability to rush the passerby. Among the Playoff Linebackers, he is sixth in Pass -Rush -Snaps and fourth in the overall print.
However, Bolton must be a better pass cover. Although he played the seventieth reporting among the post-season linackers, he takes 32nd place in the permissible Passer rating.
Similar to Reed Blankenship, Nick Bolton will probably record many duels. I could see how he had at least six duels. If he relieves Philly’s quarterback once or twice and also records a few buddy passes, he will have a strong case to be the Super Bowl -MVP.
