Aaron Rodgers doesn’t seem to have too many people on his side as the New York Jets’ 2024 season and his first full year under center nears its end.
Former New York Jets Star linebacker Bart Scott criticized Rodgers’ performance after the team’s 19-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Rodgers had 256 passing yards and one touchdown pass.

The problem arose because Rodgers was trying to catch touchdown pass No. 500. He is just one touchdown pass away from this success and joins Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Tom Brady as the only players with at least 500 touchdown passes.
Rodgers said he wished Davante Adams had caught the pass in the third quarter that might have been a touchdown. That ended a 13-game drive that lasted nearly 10 minutes.
Scott wasn’t happy with the whole situation.
“Take a 10-minute drive and end up with nothing,” Scott said on the website SNY postgame show. “And that’s because you choose records, right? Sentimental records. And you decide who gets your record. And I think that’s – that’s despicable.”

Former Jets offensive lineman Willie Colon agreed with Scott’s assessment.
It was 9-9 when the Jets turned the ball over on downs. Their next drives ended in a fumble, a turnover on downs and a missed field goal.
Rodgers made his teammates aware of this after the game.
“I think we’ve long since moved past the ‘stay positive’ principle,” Rodgers said. via SNY. “I think it’s all about perspective. Perspective shapes your truth and your truth shapes your reality.”
“So the reality of the situation is what it is, but your perspective is what you can change every day. Therefore, what you focus on now is the most important thing. It’s not about changing the reality of the situation – being 4-11, eliminated from the playoffs and beginning an unknown offseason.”
Rodgers then talked about it what the next two weeks will mean for the future of the organization.
“You have to figure out what it means to be a professional,” he said. “This is an important part of the building culture. Over the last two weeks we’ve really been able to see who’s on board and who’s ready to get out. That’s just part of the game. I’ve been on a few teams that were eliminated.” It’s interesting to watch the practice habits and the preparation habits.

“Hopefully we do the right thing and that means a lot to us because everyone is watching and it’s a business where everyone knows who it is. There will be interesting conversations over the next few weeks, but just focus on the relationships we have with each other and try to finish things off like a pro.
