The National Agency for Water and Forests (Anef) and Eucaforst, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt and Management Group (CDG), have signed a research and development cooperation agreement to improve the forest plantation practices in Morocco. This initiative is part of the strategy of the “Morocco 2020-2030” forests.
The agreement focuses on the modernization of silvi cultural techniques, technological innovation, but also the adaptation to climate change. The aim is to create solutions that are adapted to Moroccan ecosystems, and at the same time contribute to the restoration of natural environments, the fight against the desert formation and the resistance of the forests. In addition, the ANEF confirms its opening for a partnership approach to strengthen sustainable forest management in the country.
