Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo says that the FA Cup is “a competition we love” after his team has moved into the last eight with a penalty shootout against Ipswich on the City Ground.
The Forest Legend Brian Clough was unable to win the famous trophy in his responsible magic – the 1991 final against Tottenham – and it is 66 years since her last victory.
Ryan Yates’s header secured a 1-1 draw, which forced a shootout, and goalkeeper Matz Sels was the hero when he saved Jack Taylor’s efforts.
SNuno said to ITV: “The players did their work pretty well. We started well.
“The first half was flat for both teams. I am really glad that the boys have achieved it and our fans are happy tonight.
“Now it’s Game by Game. We have Manchester City in the league and can then concentrate on the FA Cup. It is a competition we love and we will do our best. “

After nine flawless punishments, goalkeepers dived to his left to keep Taylor away, and said his side was looking forward to getting ahead.
He said: “I am glad that I could help the team in the next round. It was the only punishment for which I was in the right corner. You study punishments before the game and I took the wrong corner, but that was right. I am happy for the team.
“The game wasn’t that good. In the end, additional time is gambling, you don’t want to play too much. One of the hero’s goalkeepers will be in punishments. I am happy and I’m looking forward to the weekend now.
“We know what to do. The FA Cup is really nice. A few games and you can be in the final. “
