Following Nottingham Forest’s remarkable run, Nuno is named Manager of the Month

Nuno Espirito Santo was today rewarded for Nottingham Forest’s brilliant performances of late by being named Premier League Manager of the Month for December.

Forest have enjoyed five wins this month and are now in third place, just six points behind Liverpool, after a 3-0 win at Wolves on Monday.

The East Midlands club was expected to be embroiled in a relegation battle this season but is now fighting for at least a place in the top four and a place in the Champions League.

After opening December with defeat at Manchester City, Forest went on to beat Manchester United, Aston Villa, Brentford, Tottenham and Everton.

They face Luton in the FA Cup tomorrow.

October: Nuno Espirito Santo (Nottingham Forest)
November: Arne Slot (Liverpool)
December: Nuno Espirito Santo (Nottingham Forest)

The Player of the Month award went to Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

The Sweden international scored eight goals and assisted two more in just six games as the Magpies rocketed up the table.

Isak is the first Newcastle player to win the award since it was presented to Miguel Almiron in October 2022.
