The value of coastal and craft fishing products in Morocco rose by 13% by the end of February of this year and, according to the National Fisheries Office (OnP), reached more than 2.29 billion DH. However, the total weight of the products fell by 27%and is 67,644 tons.
The landing of pelagic algae and fish has dropped by 89% or 46%, while mussels, cephalopods, white and crustaceans have seen that their volumes increase. In the Mediterranean ports, the weight of the products has grown by 9%, with a value of 21%.
On the other hand, the Atlantic connections recorded 28% decline in weight, although their value rose by 13%.
