Marrakech – Finnish and Moroccan companies are strengthening Cooperation in important sectors such as water, health and digitization through the seminar “Business With Finland”, which takes place in Casablanca today.
The event is organized in a common effort by the Finnparters, Business Finland in Morocco, the Finnish embassy and the Confederation Generals of Entreprises du Maroc (CGem) and aims to promote business partnerships and exchange of knowledge between the two countries.
The Finnish ambassador in Morocco, Marjaana Sall, organized a networking event in the Finnish residence in which Finnish companies and universities specialized in water management.
When she spoke about the purpose of the initiative at the event, she said: “We promote Finnish and Moroccan business interests, more cooperation, more contacts, more partnerships between Finnish and Moroccan companies and universities and research institutions.”
Morocco faces significant challenges in water shortages and increases the demand for advanced solutions in water recycling, monitoring, intelligent measurement, desalination and wastewater treatment.
Finnish companies, which are known for their specialist knowledge in sustainable water management, are well positioned to offer innovative solutions in this sector.
With regard to health care, the Moroccan sector is subjected to a large transformation with a focus on governance, workforce development, infrastructure and digitization.
Finnish specialist knowledge in the development of medical technology, digital health and healthcare infrastructure could play a crucial role in supporting these reforms.
While Morocco with its digital strategy of Morocco 2030, which is supported by over 1.1 billion US dollars in financial resources, the state is looking for its digital infrastructure to improve the UPSKill young specialists and support startups in the tech sector.
In the midst of these progress, Finnish companies and universities that specialize in digital innovations examine opportunities to contribute to this ambitious vision.
The seminar serves as a key platform for the strengthening of economic relationships between Finland and Morocco and enables companies to combine and develop and develop partnerships to support and develop sustainable development and technological advances.
