‘Fear no one’ – Iwobi hails Fulham’s ‘brotherhood’ as Cottagers continue to thrive under Silva
Alex Iwobi has described Fulham as “a great brotherhood” and says his team-mates fear no one in the Premier League.
The Nigerian midfielder, who is enjoying an impressive season under Marco Silva, believes the positive atmosphere both on and off the pitch was crucial to the players’ performance.
At 28, Iwobi has already equaled his all-time Premier League goals tally of five, equaling last season’s total, although there is still half the season to play.
Additionally, the ever-present midfielder contributed three assists and greatly influenced Fulham’s run.
“We really fight for each other,” Iwobi said BBC.
“You can see it on the field, but what the cameras don’t capture off the field is that we really are one big brotherhood.
“It’s a nice environment, the chemistry is really there and I feel like it’s helping us get the results we need.”

Fulham currently sit eighth in the Premier League, just three points behind fifth-placed Newcastle United, and are on an impressive seven-game unbeaten run.
Iwobi praises coach Silva for fostering the “sense of togetherness” that drives the team forward.
“I feel like I’m just expressing myself a little bit more,” Iwobi added.
“The manager gives me the license and freedom to take more chances to score. Even if I make a mistake, he says, “Alex, go again.”
“The confidence from him and the support from my teammates makes you feel almost unstoppable. You’re ready to try anything on the pitch.”
Fulham have not finished higher than 10th in the Premier League since the 2011/12 season.
However, with the team playing at such a high level, Iwobi is optimistic about their chances of breaking into the European places.
“We have the players and I haven’t played in Europe for a long time, so it’s a dream I want to realize again,” he said.
“We are not afraid of anyone. We are confident that we can compete against anyone and get three points. The sky is the limit.”
