Now that Apple has finally brought OLED to the iPad with the latest iPad Pro, its next target seems to be foldable devices. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone maker is working to launch a foldable iPad by 2028 Wall Street Journal says the company hopes to launch a foldable iPhone in 2026.
The iPad news comes courtesy of Gurman’s Turn on newsletterwhere the reporter’s (unnamed but often reliable) sources tell him that the foldable iPad would be a whopping 18.8 inches and would be like “two iPad Pros side by side.” For comparison: the current iPad Pro is limited to 13 inches, and even the MacBook Pro is only 16 inches.

The information was the first to report on this phone back in July, and Gurman also weighed in on the speculation, saying that it can’t be expected “until 2026 at the earliest.”
