Erasmus+: Moroccan European exchange in Benguerire in progress


The Erasmus+ international meetings between Morocco and Central Europe started on Tuesday at Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P) University in Benguerre. This event organizes in cooperation with the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education and aims to strengthen the connections between academic cooperation with countries such as Hungary, the Czech Republic and Austria in order to be primary topics such as the climate, digital and green economy.

The representatives of the Erasmus+ agencies and the participating universities emphasized the central role of Morocco in the euro Mediterranean area. The Hungarian ambassador to Morocco praised the intensity of the scientific exchange between the two countries, while the Czech representative highlighted the strategic position of the kingdom as a bridge to Africa.

For the coordinator of the Erasmus+ Morocco office Latifa Daadaoui, these meetings offer a concrete opportunity to create new bridges between facilities by highlighting the mobility of the pupils, the cooperation between research projects and education innovations. Around 100 university officials and teacher researchers take part.

On the program: Workshops for the joint development of Erasmus projects+ 2021-2027, the exchange of experiences and bilateral discussions as well as a social and cultural component that promotes the exchange between the participants. This initiative confirms the common desire to build up a strong, innovative and integrative Euro-African academic area.
