Unai Emery says he wants to “support” and “help” Marcus Rashford after Manchester United’s lender was impressed as Aston Villa Cam from behind to beat Chelsea in Villa Park.
Another of Villa’s list of loans, Marco Asensio, scored twice in the second half when the hosts of Enzo Fernandez started to win a 2-1 win.
Rashford, who came from the bank at half-time, provided templates for both goals when the England striker wants to put his career from Old Trafford back in hand.
Rashford looked a constant threat to the villa on the left, and Emery revealed that he wanted to help the 27-year-old to regain his self-confidence.

“(We want to) support him, help him feel the feeling of feeling comfortable here to trust us,” said Emery after the game.
“Hopefully it will be more and more important for us.”
The Villa boss admitted that the performance of the first half was against Chelsea under par, but he praised his players’ show after the break.
Emery said: “We needed more. We collect a lot and do not dominate any matches. Today we started very badly, we admitted the goal. We were late. Then we got better.
“We played fantastic in the second half. The U boats had a good influence and we needed it because we played on Wednesday (against Liverpool) and we got tired. “
Emery added that it was of crucial importance for the villa to strengthen their squad in the transfer window in January if they are supposed to compete in three different fronts this season.
“We were in need to improve our squad,” said the Spaniard.
“We want the players to compete in the top Eight, the FA Cup and the Champions League.”
