Ella Purnell has a worry after starring in Arcane & Fallout

Although the number of great video game adaptations has increased in recent years, it’s still pretty difficult to find them. Unless you’re Ella Purnell. The Yellowjacket veteran has now starred in not one, but two of the most critically acclaimed video game adaptations of recent times. Her first outing was in 2021, when she portrayed Jinx in the stunningly animated Netflix series Arcane (which itself is set in the League of Legends universe). Then, three years later, she said “Okey dokey” to the apocalypse as Lucy in Amazon’s “Fallout” series /Film’s Rafael Motamayor described it as “an outstanding video game adaptation” in his review. While it’s great to be a part of two big hits, Purnell has revealed that she plans to put other video game projects on hold in the future.

During her visit to MCM x EGX 2024 (via Pop verses), Purnell admitted that two shows from popular video game titles might be enough for now. “Actually, I think I need to stay away from video game adaptations now because I get pigeonholed. I’ll be the video game girl. “There are probably worse things than that,” she admitted. While it might be risky to appear in a story that originally had a loading screen, their track record is impressive. “Fallout” has a 94% rating Rotten tomatoeswhich will be season 1 one of Prime Video’s biggest hits ever. Otherwise, both seasons of “Arcane” have 100% ratings on RT. Not bad for someone who barely played video games to begin with.

From the looks of it, the Fallout and Arcane star doesn’t sound like she’ll be picking up a controller any time soon, considering how little she’s done with it in the past. “Here’s the truth, and I feel guilty saying this, but I’m not a gamer and I don’t know how I managed to get two video game adaptations that were both good. “I don’t know what it’s like.” “It happened, but I don’t know the answer,” Purnell admitted. Maybe someone entered a cheat code?

The only gaming-related gig she will return to for now is “Fallout,” Purnell confirmed diversitywill go back into production in 2025. There’s currently no official release date for the highly-anticipated second season, but it looks like the show’s perkiest character will be reuniting with Walton Goggins’ Ghoul and Aaron Moten’s Maximus at World’s End sooner and later. “My only preparation so far is trying to exercise – all I know is that in six months I’m going to run up a hill 500 times and try not to have an asthma attack,” Purnell explained.
