El Hajeb: McEG invests 150 million in a natural water production system


McEG, a subsidiary of the Bugshan Marocco Group, was introduced on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in Laqsir (province of El Hajeb), its new natural source water production unit. This project required an investment of more than 150 million DH and will create 300 jobs.

This project is supported by the Bugshan Marocco group through its subsidiary MCEG and is part of the development strategy of the group, which aims to diversify his activities in Morocco and strengthening its presence in the food industry.

This project is involved in the context of the efforts to strengthen national food and industrial sovereignty in the application of high royal orientations. Mezzour added that this factory uses the latest technologies to improve the water resources of this province. “This is only the first step, because this factory will strengthen its production in the near future and diversify its production with other products that are marketed on the national market and abroad.”He remembered that the group, who has been working in Morocco for 25 years, employs a thousand employees.

Note that this project enables the “solidarity cap” to be presented for the first time in Morocco. It is also based on sustainability, with photovoltaic installation in addition to a sewage treatment station (step) to reuse water to irrigate water for irrigation.
