Ekster’s stylish wallet is perfectly pocket-sized

If you are worried about losing your wallet, you can get one Tracker card for an additional charge of $49. I decided on this Android versionwhich works with the Chipolo network to show the last known location of your wallet on a map. There’s also an iOS version that works with Apple’s Find My network. Like everyone the best trackersBoth versions allow you to call your wallet from your phone, which is ideal if you have to catch a train and your wallet has slipped between the sofa cushions. You can even set up abandoned alerts so you get a ping if your wallet goes out of reach of your phone.

The battery life is up to six months for the iOS tracker and around three months for the Android version. You can plug in the iOS model to charge, but the Android tracker has a small solar panel to maintain charge. They’re as thick as a few cards and fit snugly into the pocket on the back. I never lost my wallet.

More minimalist

While the Ekster Parliament is my favorite, I have tested several other models from Ekster. The Cardholder and Cardholder Pro forego the leather exterior for an even more elegant finish and come in some fun colors and patterns like forged magma and carbon fiber. They retain the shutter button and other features and are perfect if you want to travel as light as possible. I gave a few of these away as gifts and my oldest uses the Ekster card holder and loves it.

If you choose a minimalist wallet like this, space is limited and there is no room for coins and limited space for banknotes. But there are optional add-ons. The modular extras include: Multitool Card ($49)A Money Clip Back Plate ($29)and a Coin pocket ($29). The coin compartment is very handy and also has room for a key, but you don’t want to add too many extras or your wallet will be too big.

Ultimately, the Ekster Parliament has been in my pocket for several years and it still works perfectly. I never miss my fat old wallet and still enjoy pulling the trigger every time I reach for my card. The tracker has also saved my life a few times and given me the peace of mind that I left my wallet in my other jacket and wasn’t out and about somewhere. It’s a bit pricey, but it might be the last wallet you ever need to buy.
