Interestingly, the living rooms of the miners were also discovered together with “workshops, mining areas, adoration areas, administrative buildings, Ptolemaic baths and architectural elements from the Roman and Islamic epochs,” said the press release.
Archaeologists also found 628 Ostraca, which were broken pottery and pieces of stone that were used to write and draw. The Ostraca were written together with Egyptian demotic and Greek in hieroglyphic scripts.

Excavators also discovered several bronze coins from the Ptolemaic era and “a large collection of terracotta statues that represent human and animal forms from the Greco-Roman period, and small stone statues, some incomplete, from tied and five offer tables from the Ptolema era.”
“In addition, different pottery vessels of different sizes, shapes and uses were found, including those for daily life, perfumes, medication and incense as well as a collection of pearls from gemstones and decorative tools from processed bowls,” added Facebook post.
