Doha – The national social security fund (CNSS) in Morocco announced on Wednesday that the preliminary review of documents after a recently carried out cyber attack shows that they are “often wrong, inaccurate or shortened”, since the institution deals with one of the most dangerous data violations in the country.
In an official communiqué the CNSS confirmed The computer system had been subjected to a number of cyber attacks that aimed at bypassing security measures, which led to a data leak, “their origins and contours are currently evaluated”.
“As soon as the data leak has been observed, the IT security protocol was activated with correction measures that contained the path used and the reinforced infrastructures,” said the CNSS and added that measures were implemented to precisely identify the data concerned.
The violation seems to be part of a wider cyber attack by an Algerian hacking group called “Jabaroot”, which claims to have around 500,000 data records, including 54,000 PDF files with sensitive information.
The leaked documents allegedly contain salary certificates, employee lists and data in relation to public and private Moroccan companies.
According to the available information, the violation of almost 2 million Moroccan employees can have uncovered in around 500,000 companies registered with the CNSS.
The leaked documents are reportedly the salary symptoms of various organizations, including the Royal Holding Siger and the Israeli liaison office in Rabat.
The cyber attack at the same time targeted The Ministry of Economic Integration, Small Companies, Employment and Skills (Miiepee).

While the ministry initially downplayed the violation and realized that “all information published on the website is public and accessible to everyone”, the hackers replied by being in a 75 -MM archive, what they claim to be additional wage and salary billing files.
The CNSS emphasized that the protection of personal data and user information remains an “absolute priority”. The institution has initiated an internal administrative investigation and communicated the relevant judicial authorities.
“We ask all citizens and the media to exercise vigilance, to show a sense of responsibility and to avoid any distribution or disclosure of peered or fake data with which the risk of judicial consequences is confronted,” concluded the CNS.
The incident has resulted in the political personalities, including Abdellah Bouanou, head of the parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Party (PJD) called for accountability and stronger cyber security measures in ministerial sectors and public institutions.
The hackers claimed that their actions were rewarded for the alleged “Moroccan harassment of official Algerian social media sites”, and in particular quoted the suspension of the APS account (Algerian Press Service) on the platform X.
According to reports, Moroccan hackers have launched counter -operations on websites on Algerian government.
