“In the past few days I have had fun driving in the desert. I picked up my rent on Tuesday and then made a few local trips. On Wednesday I drove to the desert paths south of my brother’s house. These paths were relatively flat, so I didn’t have to worry about jumping over stones or going through laundry because I am not a very good mountain biker.
Later that day we went to Flagstaff to see the Lowell Observatory. It was a really fun trip. It was interesting to observe how the landscape changed when we got a height and finally went from relatively dry desert to finally pine forests. The observatory is located on a mountain with a beautiful landscape and was a very interesting visit. You have a nice museum and some good tours.
On Thursday I found the Phoenix Canal Trails, especially the southern branch of the Highline Trail, and drove them for several miles, which was fun. Then I found the Desert Trail in Pima Canyon in 20,000 (approx. 4200 ha) Mountain Park. The paths were flat enough for me and I enjoyed riding them. I ended with something local. This is a beautiful area that you should visit in winter. “
