Luis de la Fuente was rewarded because he led Spain to the success of Euro 2024 with a two -year contract extension.
The previous deal of the 63-year-old expired after the 2026 World Cup, but was connected to the Spanish Football Association (RFEF) until the end of Euro 2028.
De la Fuente did a remarkable job at Little Fanfare after having the role of the 16th Spain-of-16 exit at the 2022 World Championship in Qatar after the succession of Luis Enrique.

After de la Fuente worked for the RFEF in various youth team roles for nine years, he stepped on the top job and delivered almost immediate success.
Last summer he also used the youngsters with their wings Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams Key to their success in Germany in Germany.
Spain’s next games will come in March when they compete against the Netherlands in a quarter-finals of the Nations League in two-legged nations.
