The countries of the Middle East region and North Africa (Mena) will invest a global envelope of $ 12 billion in the production of data centers (data centers) by 2027. According to a study by Research and Markets, this sector has great progress in the region. And it is Saudi Arabia dominates the future market of data centers in the Mena region with almost 50 % of the total energy capacity. By the end of 2025, almost 700 MW of additional capacity should be added.
The current ability of data centers in the Mena region exceeds 1 GW, but should reach around 4.5 GW in the future thanks to new investments. The study by Researchand and Markets concerned 182 existing data centers and 130 others in the project. The countries concerned are Morocco, Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
