Details on DaMichael Jenkins’ viral racial profiling encounter
The shadow room posted the video shared by DaMichael Jenkins showing a woman walking to his house at night with her two children. As Jenkins pulls into his driveway, she rings the doorbell and begins questioning him about whether he lives there. When Jenkins answers, “Yes,” she shoots back, “I do not believe that.” She then runs from Jenkins’ property screaming and calling for help, claiming he is chasing her.
Jenkins’ wife goes out and asks what happened and who was supposedly chasing her. Then the woman returns and Jenkins’ wife explains that her husband lives there. Jenkins’ wife shares her confusion and mentions that someone is screaming outside.
According to the video, the woman was walking on the street with her two children when Jenkins’ silver truck slowly approached. Jenkins explained that he was driving slowly because he was admiring another neighbor’s Christmas lights. The woman expressed her fear and said: “From my point of view, this is what you have to do – be alone with my two children. I saw a car coming and it scared me.” She ended up apologizing after Jenkins brought up her behavior.
