An envelope of more than 715 million dirhams was assigned to the implementation of 23 craft projects in the Fès-Meknès region as part of the 2022-2027 regional development program. These projects aim to strengthen the craft sector, strengthen its infrastructure and support local craftsmen.
The flagship projects include the creation of a permanent craft fair in FEZ, the construction of several craft complexes in Boulemane, Meknès and Sefrou as well as the expansion of the Specialized Institute of Traditional Arts (Isat). The program also provides for the development of craft activity zones dedicated to automotive shops in several provinces.
The program also includes measures to promote the social and solidarity economy, to maintain the endangered disappearance transactions, to improve the production environment (especially in pottery and lime tensectors) and new marketing areas, while he supports the first training in special trades such as jewelry and glass.
