Accordingly PEOPLEHolloway is believed to have killed his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend in her apartment on June 9, 2022. According to the outlet, Dodd and Holloway had an on-and-off relationship. Additionally, Dodd was eight months pregnant at the time. However, the child did not belong to Holloway.
On the night of the incident, Dodd’s mother, Heidi Noel, was unable to contact her. When the 22-year-old’s mother arrived at her apartment, she discovered her daughter’s decapitated body.
Authorities have reportedly determined that Holloway killed Dodd. He then left her head “in a nearby dumpster.”

Per PEOPLEHolloway pleaded guilty in December 2024 to first-degree murder and “intentional homicide” of Dodd’s unborn child. On Friday, January 17, he was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
“We hope that this conviction and sentence will provide reassurance to the family and loved ones and be a step toward healing,” Madison County Prosecutor Tom Haine reportedly told the press following Holloway’s sentencing.

“Liese was taken from us unexpectedly and too soon. “We created this fund as a place for those who want to help and still contribute,” the campaign says, before adding a statement in response to Dodd’s conviction. “…This conviction brings a solution to a heinous crime. No punishment or amount of time will bring back my daughter or granddaughter, but this punishment is to ensure that he cannot harm anyone…”
To date, the campaign has raised over $15,000 of its $20,000 goal.
