This new commitment arises from the publication of two ministerial decrees aimed at strengthening the protection of actors involved in construction projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

TRC insurance is required for the customer throughout the duration of the work, covering property damage and civil liability to third parties. The RCD, in turn, is mandatory for construction professionals and comes into force after the acceptance of the work and provides 10 years of protection against damage that endangers the soundness of the work.

These obligations apply to industrial, commercial and residential buildings with more than three floors or an area of more than 800 m². In addition, a valid RCD insurance certificate is required to obtain a residence permit or certificate of compliance.

Please note that ACAPS and the FMA will monitor the application of these new requirements.
