China said it on Tuesday hired a cartel examination in GooglePart of a quick retaliation after US President Donald Trump imposed a 10% tariff on Chinese goods.
The investigation of the Chinese state administration for market regulation will examine the alleged monopolistic practices of the US Tech giant, in which China has been searched for since 2010 and internet services have been blocked, but mainly focuses on advertising there.
“Since Google is suspected of violating the anti-monopoly law of the People’s Republic of China, the state administration has initiated an investigation by Google in accordance with the law for market regulation,” was the English version of the administration’s statement.
Beijing also met the US carbon and liquefied natural gas exports with a delivery of 15% and imposed a tariff of 10% for oil and agricultural devices. The Chinese authorities also added Calvin Klein owner PVH Corp. And the gene sequencing company Illumina added to a restricted company list and implemented new export controls for Molfram materials.
Trump’s tariffs, which he justified in response to Beijing’s failure to prevent the river of illegal drugs, restored the trade voltages between the largest economies in the world, as well as the relationships seemed to be stabilizing.
