Child dies in stabbing in Croatian primary school
A seven-year-old child was killed and other children were injured in a stabbing at a primary school in Croatia.
The country’s health minister said a teacher was also injured in Friday’s knife attack in Zagreb. Local media reported that the suspected attacker, a 19-year-old man and former student, was arrested at the scene.
Photos showed police, rescue workers and forensic teams outside the building.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said he was “horrified” by the incident at Precko Primary School.
According to the Ministry of Health, two adults and five children are in hospital with injuries.
Speaking to reporters outside the children’s hospital, Health Minister Irena Hrstic said the attacker entered the school before stabbing staff and students.
