Rabat – Moroccan Chemsdine Talbi has put an end to the uncertainty of his international future.
News reappeared that the 19-year-old midfielder of Club Brugge decided to wear the colors of Morocco and rejected Belgium’s progress.
Belgium had shown great interest in Talbi and hoped to connect him to the Red Devils.
Report Suggest that the national technical director Vincent Mannaert personally intervened to influence the young talent. “The Federation failed to strengthen relationships with players with double nationality in the recent past,” said Mannaert.
“I’m doing that now. I am in close contact with ‘Chems’ that I have known since his little boy, ”wrote the Belgian newspaper de Morgen.
Chemsdine Talbi was recently recognized As an outstanding player of Brugge for February 2025.
The Moroccan midfielder secured more than 60% of the votes and landed well in front of his team -mate Ardon Jashari, who received 16%. Ferran Jutglà rounded off the top three with 15.5%.
His appearances also brought him a place in Uefa’s team of the week, where he was presented alongside Kylian Mbappé and Federico Valverde.
Talbi, who has made a name for himself in the Belgian Pro League, is now looking at a new chapter with the Atlas Lions.
