Chelsea’s victory at home against West Ham was a “big” result, said manager Enzo Maresca when the blues moved back to the top 4 of the Premier League.
Jarrod Bowen’s fine goal had the hammers in front of him at halftime, but Maresca made four changes and was rewarded when Pedro Neto extensively.
Cole Palmer then met a low strike that was distracted in Aaron Wan-Bissaka to seal three big points for the hosts.

“It’s a big result,” said Maresca. “It was a hard game, especially mentally. It is never easy when teams come here and wait and sit back.
“You have to be patient. There is no place, you have to move the ball and wait for the right moment.
“We are in the top 4 and hopefully we can be there until the end. Playing this kind of game in February, where we are still, is an important statement. “
Graham Potter has returned to Stamford Bridge since his dismissal of Chelsea in 2023.
His site impressed throughout and Bowen in an excellent form when he returned to injuries.
“I thought the performance was really good,” said Potter.
“I thought we were tactically intelligent. We had a bit unhappy with the first goal, we thought there could be a foul that led to it. Sometimes you need these things to get in your way, but it wasn’t thought.
