Chelsea’s head, Sonia Bombastor, says that the apology from striker Sam Kerr is sufficient and the club will not take disciplinary measures according to its legal proceedings.

After the incident, the 31-year-old apologized “that I was badly expressed by a traumatic evening”.
Bombastor said: “Sam made an explanation, she apologized and I think that’s enough.
“Everyone can make mistakes and from which they learn and so they move forward.
“What she confronted last week was difficult enough for her, so the only thing we want to do as a club is supported.”
Kerr, who has scored 95 goals in 122 games at Chelsea since 2019, has not played in a training camp in January 2024 since a serious knee injury
Bombastor said it was “difficult to enable a precise time frame for Kerr’s return, but it was” well advanced “in training.
The process heard that Kerr and her partner Kristie Mewis were driven by a taxi driver to the Twickenham police station who had complained that they had refused to pay the clean-up work after Kerr was sick, and Mewis smashed the rear window of the vehicle had.
Kerr said she and her partner had feared for their lives and accused one of the police officers to be “stupid and white”.

Bombastor, who said she had been in contact with Kerr during the trial, added: “We really know her, we are probably the one who knows the most with her family.
“It was difficult to see her in this situation. We are family and we really supported and I am really happy that the judgment was positive and now she can go forward. “
