Cement deliveries: Almost 13.7 million tons in 2024
Cement deliveries to Morocco reached almost 13.7 million tons (Mt) at the end of December 2024, an increase of 9.45% compared to the same period in 2023, according to data from the Ministry of Planning of the National Territory, Urban Planning, Housing and Cities emerge from politics.
By segment, sales remain the leader with 7.88 million tons, followed by ready-mixed concrete (BPE) with 3.05 million tons, ready-mixed concrete (PREFA) with 1.33 million tons, buildings with 446,063 tons, infrastructure with 909,027 tons and finally mortar with 69,146 tons.
These figures show the resilience of the Moroccan cement sector, supported by increased demand in the construction and infrastructure sectors. They come from data from members of the Professional Association of Cement Makers (APC), including Asment Temara, Ciments de l’Atlas, Ciments du Maroc, LafargeHolcim Maroc and Novacim (member since January 2024).
The sector’s positive momentum reflects a gradual recovery in construction activity and large infrastructure projects, contributing to the recovery of the national economy.
