Carmelo Anthony explains his facial expressions and viral “Risk It All” photo with Rihanna
A new episode of Anthony’s podcast “7PM in Brooklyn” was released earlier this week YouTube. About an hour and twenty-eight minutes into the episode, Melo was asked to share “what was going on” in his viral photo with Rihanna at a Met Gala-related event in 2014.
In the film, Melo is seen staring at Rihanna while seemingly posing for photos.

So far, his statement has caused confusion on social media, with some believing he was willing to “risk everything” for Rih.
“We’re already here and having a good time. Every time a celebrity walks in, the cameras go crazy. There’s excitement when you walk in there. I finally go in, walk through the cameras and sit down – now I’ve found my comfort zone by sitting down… and trying to stay low,” he said.
That’s when Rihanna arrived, according to Melo.
“Rih comes in (and) the camera goes crazy… All you see is flashes of white,” he said. “And… there’s only one area I can go to and I say, ‘Please don’t come here.’ The flashes go off, so I put my head down, look up and she’s posing right there… And I’m like, ‘Really?'”
