The body of a Canadian tourist was washed out on the beach in the Dominican Republic Hours after he was reported missing in mid -June and asks his family for financial support to fly his remains back to Canada.
The 38 -year -old Dorian Christian Macdonald was discovered on June 20 at 4:15 a.m. local time after taking a solo walk on the beach on the same morning.
Macdonald was on vacation alone in a hotel in Puerto Plata on the north coast of the island when the fatal incident occurred.
A spokesman for Global Affairs Canada, the government department, who was commissioned for diplomatic matters, told Global News that the death of a Canadian citizen in the Dominican Republic was aware of.
“Consular officials are in contact with the local authorities and the family of consular support. Due to data protection considerations, no further information may be announced,” the explanation said.
