CAN 2025 and CDM 2030: The Council of the Casablanca Settings region approved conventions

At its extraordinary meeting in January, the CASABLANCA set region unanimously accepted 50 points, including conventions to strengthen the infrastructure for the CAN 2025 and the 2030 World Cup.

Under the chairmanship of Abdellatif Maâzouz, the Council discussed partnerships with several ministries and the Royal Moroccan Football Association (FrMF) to renovate stadiums and to improve road connections. Convention on advanced regionalization, waste management and even logistics development were also adopted.

One point for cultural promotion was postponed. Maâzouz underlined the importance of this session in connection with the national conference on advanced regionalization and emphasized the need to strengthen participatory democracy and to reduce territorial inequalities as part of the regional development plan 2022-2027.
