Cameron Diaz shares bold conspiracy theory about “President” Elon Musk

The 52-year-old actress, who once reportedly dated the tech mogul, appeared to take a swipe at him with the joke, referring to his relentless pursuit of making the trip to Mars a reality.

It comes as Cameron Diaz returns to the spotlight after a lengthy absence from Hollywood to focus on her personal life.

During a recent promotion of her action-comedy flick with Foxx, Diaz showed off her comedic side and left her Back in Action star visibly stunned.

According to the Daily MailFoxx had asked Diaz to share her GOAT, or greatest of all time, conspiracy theory, which prompted the actress to release a fairly detailed extraterrestrial narrative starring once-rumored boyfriend Elon Musk.

“All reports of aliens are always the same,” Diaz began, then added that these aliens “had big heads, big eyes, no mouths. Telepathically, they had long fingers and were dexterous.”

She added: “If you think about where we are in technology right now, we are sitting in front of a screen. We don’t talk to each other. We don’t have to talk.”

At this point in her story, Diaz mentioned Musk while mockingly referring to him as “President.”

“And we all know we’re leaving the planet because now Elon Musk is our president,” she continued. “When we get to Mars, we will truly be like a completely different species.”

In response to the story, Foxx told Diaz that she had “screwed” him, seemingly expressing how shocked he was by her wild conspiracy theory.

In recent weeks, the duo have appeared together to promote their film, which arrives on Netflix on January 17th.

Diaz and Foxx reunited at the film’s premiere in Berlin, which marked Diaz’s first red carpet appearance in five years.

The actress last appeared on the red carpet alongside Demi Moore and Drew Barrymore in 2019 when Lucy Liu was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

For the event, Diaz looked stunning in a unique look consisting of a black top, a sheer black blouse and high-waisted jeans. She completed the outfit with a long black coat and classic penny loafers.

The actress also posed for photos with Foxx, who wore a suit with the edges covered in a white and black striped pattern.

Before starring in Back in Action, Diaz was not in Hollywood, having retired from the industry more than a decade ago.

In a recent interview with RichShe revealed how her Back in Action co-star inspired her to break her hiatus.

“I thought if I came back and did a movie, the only person I would come back and do it with would be this guy,” said Diaz, who co-starred with Foxx in the classic “Annie.”

She added: “Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I always said, ‘No. I won’t do it, I told you… What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with.’ Jamie!’”

As fans prepare to see Diaz in Back in Action when it debuts on Netflix, the actress is still undecided about whether she should take part in any new acting projects in the near future.

“I don’t know how I see it. It’s hard to say,” Diaz said Rich. “If I say it, it becomes this thing. I reserve the right to say no to ever making a film again, and I reserve the right to say yes if I decide to.”

She added: “I don’t define anything. I’m just open to whatever makes sense for me and my family at any given time.”

After decades in the Hollywood spotlight, Diaz took some time off to focus on her family. She has two children, daughter Raddix and son Cardinal, with her husband Benji Madden.

In an interview with her brother-in-law Joel Madden on his “Artist Friendly” podcast, Diaz discussed her marriage and cited “therapy” as a key factor in the strength of her nine-year union with Benji Madden.

Diaz said, “It’s what we depend on, so have the commitment to work on it.” She noted that therapy keeps her and Benji from doing “the same thing over and over again.”

According to the Daily MailThe actress added that therapy encouraged her and her husband to ask themselves, “Why didn’t it work? How can I do it? What is my role? What is the other person’s work?”

Diaz also highlighted how therapy has taught her to be “more confident” and “a little bit more equipped to hopefully achieve a different outcome.”

The “Charlie’s Angels” star explained: “(It helps us) to either solve something or create a new understanding of a new process together.”
