Burnley bring Barnes home
Burnley have re-signed striker Ashley Barnes from Norwich on a contract until the end of the season.
The 35-year-old, who previously played for the Clarets between 2014 and 2023, returns to Scott Parker’s side who sit second in the Championship table.
He has already achieved promotion to the Premier League three times.

“It feels fantastic to be back home,” Barnes told Burnley’s website.
“Burnley has been an important part of my life for over a decade and I can’t wait to put on the burgundy shirt again.”
Barnes has scored 80 Premier League goals for the Lancashire club, his best season coming in 2018/19 when he scored 12 goals.
His long-time Clarets striker partner Chris Wood is enjoying a renaissance at Nottingham Forest this season, scoring 11 goals by Christmas.
Burnley face rivals Blackburn Rovers in the early kick-off on Saturday and could move level on points with league leaders Leeds with a win.
“Ashley leaves with our best wishes and we thank him for his contribution over the last 18 months,” said Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper.
