In the world of Buffy the Vampire SlayerHair color serves as an easy way to say who is. For example, Cordelia from the initial trio female characters of the show is a brave blonde and Willow is a reserved redhead. The Willow actor Alyson Hannigan later revealed that all three women originally had the same shadow of hair and that she jumped on Joss Whedon’s offer to give a member of this tempting trio red hair.
Willow chose her hair color
Whedon hadn’t run any shows yet Buffy the Vampire SlayerBut he was also well -versed at the time to know that the audience needed simple opportunities to distinguish characters. He asked, “Was anyone wanted to be red?”
While the Buffy Showrunner may not have thought that far because it was a perfect choice for her character to give Willowrot. From a culture, red hair was often connected to be wild, uninhibited and even surprisingly violent. In the early seasons of the show, however, Willow was nothing like that, although her character as an archetypal wall flowers -Geek was over the series.
Then why was that Buffy The decision by Showrunner, Willow to give a red hair color so perfectly? Basically, in the course of the series, it comes from her shell, something that is intended by an episode season 3 in which she pushed from a different dimension to a vampire version.
This version was a seductive leather mother who used sex as a weapon, and although this incarnation of pastures exaggerated entertaining, it was much closer to the ongoing stereotype of redheads than seductive. Willows Auburn Mane made her personality and wardrobe of her vampire version so much more convincing, and her hair color was much more perfect than her human self slowly became more like her vampire.
While Buffy the Vampire Slayer Never put Willow regularly in the Domme outfit of your vampire version outside of this one episode. She jokingly tells her friend Tara that she is “not big with the butch”, but in her dynamics of relationships, Tara becomes more of the merging girl who was Willow in season 1, and Willow becomes a take over witch that is growing in her growing Power withdrawn. And these stereotypes about redosmen violent stereotypes seem to be certainly when Willow becomes the big bath of the 6th season (although fairly their hair becomes black when it is full Teuflisch).
Does that mean? Buffy the Vampire Slayer Joss Whedon planned all these moments of character and development if Alyson Hannigan The chance of red hair color? Of course not. Even the biggest fans of the show can admit that a large part of it was developed in flying. This is a large part of why season 6 was such a hot mess that was hardly saved by the musical episodes and Willows Witchy heel transition. Nevertheless, the red hair was perfect for her character, and it is only suitable that everything worked out in a magical way when it comes to our favorite witch on the screen.
