Britney Spears has ‘various projects’ in the works but ‘not career-focused’

Singer Britney Spears has a few different projects in the works, but for now she just wants to focus on what makes her happy!

The “Toxic” singer was subject to court guardianship from February 2008 to November 2021. Now that she’s free and supposedly single, her own happiness seems to come first.

Fans who follow the Crossroads actress on Instagram know how much effort she puts into her dance videos. A source told Us weekly in May that these videos “entertain her” and she considers them “work.”

A source told the publication that Britney is “excited about a lot of different projects” and even wants to open a dance studio to teach others to dance. “It’s really a dream of hers and she talks about it often,” they said.

However, a second source said that Britney simply wants to take some time to enjoy her own happiness. “Britney leads a very low-key life. She’s not career-oriented – she just wants to do things that make her happy at the moment,” they said.

Britney began dating former personal trainer Sam Asghari after they met on the set of her music video “Slumber Party” in 2016. They tied the knot in June 2022, just months after their controversial 13-year conservatorship ended. Unfortunately, the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor filed for divorce in August 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

The actor recently began dating real estate agent Brooke Irvine. A source told the publication that this is Sam’s first relationship post-divorce and that he is “really happy.” They also noted that Britney “will always be a hopeless romantic” and “loves having a partner,” so she is “looking for a date.”

Despite living a low-key lifestyle, she still seems to keep in touch with her former boyfriends, especially Paris Hilton. The second source told the publication that Britney “has a few close friends who check in with her on a daily basis,” and one of those friends is Paris Hilton, who has a son, Phoenix, and a daughter, London, with her husband Carter Reum .

“They text often and see each other every now and then. “Britney loves babies, so it was very exciting for her to meet Paris’ kids,” the source said, noting that Britney “loves visiting her friend’s kids.”

Aside from that, the source revealed that Britney is careful about who she lets too close to her. “Britney is close to her hairdresser and her assistant, but I don’t see her hanging out with anyone else every day,” the first source claimed. “She (can be) anywhere and very hot and cold – (she’s either) happy or crying over a paparazzi photo.”

“Britney is a happy person, but she spends a lot of time alone,” they added.

Britney has two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline: Jayden James and Sean Preston. A source revealed Us weekly that Jayden reached out to Britney in November in hopes they could repair their relationship.

“He is open to improving his relationship with his mother and seeing where things go from here. Britney was very excited to hear from him; (It) means everything to her,” a source claimed.

A third source told the outlet that Jayden planned to go to school in California and was staying at Britney’s house while he looked at schools. “They get along great,” the source claimed, noting that it has also improved her relationship with Sean Preston.

“Britney is confident they will have a blossoming relationship in the near future. “That’s all she ever talks about,” the second source said. “She would be happy to have a second chance with them.”

Although Britney has made it clear that she will never reconcile with her father Jamie Spears, things have been a bit up and down with her mother Lynne Spears.

“Things with Lynne have been difficult (lately), but Britney wants to improve (their relationship),” a source told the publication, noting that Britney is always worried about the holiday season.

“She misses them and is sad about their family dynamic,” the source added.

However, Britney has become increasingly close to her brother Bryan Spears and “speaks to him often,” especially after her divorce. It’s currently unclear where Britney stands with her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, although a source said the two sisters hope to have a fresh start someday.
