Share a summary of the books that I have read recently and if you are worth adding your collection.
Hello friends! How are you doing? I hope you have a nice morning!
We enjoyed all Seville adventures, went to bed at least midnight and then followed every day. It is .BEEN.AMAZING. I managed to reach a few reading times before going to bed and shot four books. Two were terrible and two were excellent. I share recaps below and I would like to hear what you enjoyed this summer!
Books I’ve read lately
The Warsaw orphan by Kelly Rimmer
This absolutely destroyed me. It plays Poland in the Second World War and follows a girl of teenage who starts smuggling Jewish children from the ghetto. Writing is beautiful, and although the topic is difficult, it is the kind of book that stays with you long after the completion. Highly recommended if you fancy something emotional and powerful. 9/10

In the spring of 1942, the young Elzbieta Rabinek was aware of the rapidly growing discord directly behind the inner courtyard of her comfortable Warsaw house. She has no preference for the Germans who patrol their streets and force their output blocks, but never thought much about what happens behind the walls that contain their Jewish neighbors. She knows all too well about German brutality – and it is the reason why she has to hide her true identity. When Elzbieta, a nurse who shares her apartment floor, starts with Sara, who drives her into a dangerous world of deception and heroism.
The use of Sara’s references to smuggle children from the ghetto brings Elzbieta to face to face with the reality of the war behind his walls and, if of the Gorka family, who has to make the impossible decision to give up or pursue her. For Roman Gorka, this last injustice moves him on rebellion with a zeal, not even his newly discovered love for Elzbieta can suppress. But his ruthlessness brings undesirable attention to Sara’s thing and unintentionally puts Elzbieta and her family in danger until a violent act threatens to destroy their chance of freedom forever.
The same time next summer By Annabel Monaghan
The main character is about to marry with what seems like the * perfect man * but her old friend (who broke her heart years ago). Sparks start to fly again and it is “what” energy with one side of family dynamics and the summer east algia can be. I loved the idea of this Romanian book of the second chance and the author is wonderful (Nora goes out from the script, is one of my favorite officials), but that was boring and slow for me. I had to force myself to end it. 2/10

Sam’s life is on the right track. She has the perfect doctor, Jack (his strict routines are really a good thing), a great work in Manhattan (unless you fire) and is about to visit a wedding location near the Long Island Beach House. Everything should be planned, but as soon as she arrives, Sam feels something. Wyatt is here. Your Wyatt. But there is no reason that a thirty -year -old committed woman panicked to take care of the guy who broke her heart when she was seventeen. Right?
But since she went back on this beach and notes from Wyatt’s guitar from the night next door heard as if there was no time – Sam’s memories come back: the feeling of Wyatt’s skin on her, her nights in the tree house and the truth behind her separation. Sam remembers who she used to be and when Wyatt is in her life again, her connection is as undeniably as always. She will have to make a choice.
The wedding people by Alison Espach
This is very popular and I found it completely chaotic. A woman appears in a chic hotel and is involved in the “wedding people” who have taken over the property for a whole week. It felt really different from anything I’ve read lately, but that wasn’t necessarily a good thing. I always waited for a big relevation or a moment, and it was just flat for me. The end did not even make the slog of reading. 2/10
Out of Amazon:
It is a wonderful day in Newport, Rhode Island when Phoebe Stone in the Grand Cornwall Inn wore a green dress and golden heels, not only within sight. She was immediately wrong of everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she is actually the only guest in Cornwall who is not here for the big event. Phoebe is here because she has dreamed of coming for years – she hoped to take oysters to schools and sunset sail with her husband, only now is she here without him, on the rock bottom, and determined to have a last decadent splendor. In the meantime, the bride has taken into account the weekend for every detail and any possible catastrophe, except for Phoebe and Phoebe’s plan, which makes it much more surprising if the two women cannot stop trusting each other.
Alison Espachs The Wedding People is absurdly funny and devastatingly tender and is ultimately an incredibly nuanced and resonant look at the winding paths that we can never imagine – and the random encounters that are sometimes needed to perform again.
Out of love for friends By Sara Goodman Conneino
This was funny that I expected because all of the SGC books literally make me. A woman agrees to be a bridesmaid in five weddings (why?) And she anonymously blogging about all the ridiculous things that happen on the way. Think of Bridenzilla moments, ugly dresses, a lot of juicy drama. It was a funny, easy reading that had mixed a few deeper moments. It was exactly what I was looking for in a Vacay reading and I loved it. 9/10
Out of Amazon:
Lily Weiss is the worst nightmare of her mother: thirty-two and single-the Horror! She is also a talented writer, but hides behind a boring job at a science foundation. For her friends, she is reliable and selfless, as she ends up in five weddings in five weddings in five weddings. Something for her three best friends and two (younger) siblings, right? Even if her own love life … Well, she would rather not talk about it. To keep her mental health, Lily needs a safe place to vent.
And so her anonymous blog, Bridesmania, is born. The contributions flock from her: all feelings about mom-zillas, their disappeared banking, the evil bridesmaid of the West, the future brides with high brides, physically harmful clothes writers, young animal parties and days, not to mention that they are eighty years old (the morning Mimen-mmen-mmen-mimen-mimen-mimosasen) for the Morning-Mimen mimosasis are viewed as a guardian for the mimic mimosasis.
So far, the blog has remained anonymous. But as everyone knows, only a few things stay secret online forever …
If everything is said and done, can Lily help all five couples to make it happy? And will your own happy ending be close behind?
Ok, friends: any great Vacay readings that you would recommend? Are there classics that you have read again over time?
Xoxo
